About Carol Jayes
Carol trained to a professional level in Psychodynamic Counselling with Herts & Beds Pastoral Foundation obtaining a WPF Advanced Diploma in 1993. She then trained as a Psychotherapist and completed the four-year course in 2000 and qualified as a Jungian Analytical Psychotherapist in 2005. In 2001 she completed supervision training.
Practice
She has run a private practice for over 16 years. She worked in the NHS for 11 years as a Primary Care Counsellor as well as continuing in private practice. She currently works part-time in an NHS Occupational Health Department.
Supervisor
She provides supervision for trainee and qualified counsellors and psychotherapists either individually or in groups, in organisational settings, NHS and her own practice.
Clinical Management
She has several years experience as a clinical manager of counselling services for a community based counselling centre.
Special Interests
She has a background working socially with women who have emotional difficulties during pregnancy and/or postnatally and continues this in her psychotherapy practice. Another interest is the spiritual dimension and the relationship between the spiritual and the psychological inner world. She offers therapy and psychological assessment to some religious organisations.

She is an active Professional Member of the West Midlands Institute of Psychotherapy where she currently holds the post of Chair and Trustee.
